This Privacy Policy describes how M8BIT (“we”, “us”) handles information in the Android application M8BIT Retro Emulator (package ID com.m32bit.videogames) and on m8bit.com.
1. Information we collect
- App analytics: anonymous or pseudonymous device identifiers, app version, event names (for example app open or download), approximate country derived from IP address, and similar technical data used to improve stability and features.
- Advertising (Google AdMob): advertising identifiers, device and network information, and interaction data as described in Google’s policies. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your consent and regional requirements (including EEA/UK).
- Website: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and optional cookies or similar technologies for analytics and site operation.
We do not require you to create an account with a name or email to use the emulator. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.

3. Third-party services
We use Google AdMob and related Google advertising / measurement services. These providers may process data under their own privacy policies:
Game files (ROMs) you add yourself remain on your device unless you choose to download content from our catalog; download activity may be counted in aggregated analytics.
4. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us and we will delete it where required.
5. Data retention & security
We retain analytics and logs only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or aggregate them. We use reasonable technical measures to protect data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

- Reset or limit advertising ID in Android settings
- Manage ad consent where a consent form is shown (EEA/UK and similar regions)
- Opt out of personalized ads via Google’s tools where available
- Uninstall the app to stop further collection from the device
